2024 IBCN Travel Award/Grant Application

The IBCN board is proud to offer financial support in the form of the IBCN Travel Award and Trainee Travel Grant to encourage and enable trainees and early career investigators to attend the annual meeting. Please see below for the descriptions of each award and the application process.

** Trainees who are not offered a Travel Award will automatically be considered for the Trainee Travel Grant**

IBCN Travel Award:

A competitive award that provides 1500 Euro towards travel to the meeting from outside the host continent (e.g. travel from Europe to a North American based meeting or vice versa). Eligible awardees must be either a trainee or junior faculty (within 5 years of their initial faculty appointment).

Trainee Travel Grant:

Non-competitive grant (number of grants are limited based on availability of funds) for any trainee to offset the hotel cost (maximum 2 nights for a standard room at the pre-arranged meeting hotels). Following the completion of the meeting, grant awardees will be reimbursed upon submission of the hotel receipt.

 

All applicants are required to:

  • Be an early career investigators as define by the aboveĀ descriptions
  • Demonstrate a commitment to a career in bladder cancer research
  • Present an abstract at the annual meeting
  • Submit a copy of their CV
  • Be an IBCN member, in good standing, at the time of the meeting
